Activities of German residents in Canton.

The Aoting Coneul-General has received reliable information that various German residents at Canton make frequent visits to the Chinese Wireless Telegraph Station outside the Past Gate and to the Chinese barracks in the same neighbourhood. They have lately been armed when making these visits with Winchester rifles and ammmmition. There is no definite information as to the exact ubject of these visita.
The Acting Consul-General proposes at an early dete to bring the facts confidentially to the notice of the Chinese Authorities.
